4-colour ads: a set of negative offset films (right reading emulsion side down) or a set of matt positive bromides + a negative offset film or a bromide of the black and white standby, screen 85 + a colour proof (cromalin, machprint...).

Screen density
In the dense zones of the colour work, the superposition of the 4 densities (cyan + magenta + yellow + black) must be between 220 and 240% (maximum value).
For cyan + magenta + yellow, it must not exceed 150%. Maximum density for black: 70%.
For the reproduction of black objects, do not exceed 160% (black 70%, addition of the other three colours 90%). To achieve that, ask your photo-engraver to do a UCR in the high density zones.
Dot gain: cyan, magenta and yellow = 25% - Black = 28%
Lowest density that can be printed: 10%
Highest density that can be printed: 70%
